Vacation Bible School (VBS), August 24-28, 2015

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

August 24-28,  (Monday – Friday), 2015
“G-Force Adventure Park”
was the theme for this year’s VBS, and is based on Acts 17:28a – “in God we live, move, and exist.”

Our VBS quilt…  This year the children createVBS quilt 2015d some interesting items that they took home to enjoy. Each day there was a set project for the children to do, and if they were finished early, we had an ongoing project for them to work on. They could decorate a square of fringed fleece. They used fabric paint and/or tied other shapes onto their squares so each piece is unique. Nearly every student made at least one and then the fringes were tied together to make a most interesting blanket of many colours. The plan is that it will be displayed in the Sunday School area and then be given away to a needy child to keep that child wrapped in warmth and coziness.

Thanks to all those VBS Volunteers – Wow!    This year’s VBS was once again a great success by all accounts. Thirty-one children attended for a week of fun, learning, building relationships, singing and praying. With over thirty volunteers that made this week possible –well, that one-to-one volunteer/participant ratio is amazing.  We are so thankful and feel so blessed to have the quality and commitment of leadership required to make VBS so worthwhile. Blessings to you all.
