Our Staff

  Reverend Ray Goodship – Minister

Ray went into ministry a little later in life, having been a bricklayer in Ontario for almost 20 years. After graduating from Queen’s Theological College in Kingston, Ray and Chris moved with their three sons to Blackfalds, Alberta in 2003. Their adventure in ministry led Ray to Sunnybrook United in Red Deer for two years before a new sense of call led them St. Andrew’ United Church in Cochrane in 2012. Ray has a passion for preaching, worship and community building. He has too many hobbies, but cycling, fitness and music top the list.

Kim Homes-Younger – Student Minister

My name is Kim Holmes-Younger and I am a first year MDiv student at Vancouver School of Theology. I have been working at Wild Rose United Church for the past 7 years in various positions including Community Engagement, Youth Ministry and Communication. I have a passion for pastoral care, teaching, and preaching.  In my spare time I enjoy knitting, walking, and cooking. I have a wonderful, supportive husband, Neil and a daughter, Kaie, who is just about to turn 12. I am so excited to be mentoring with Ray and love attending St. Andrews United.

Cindy Watson-Parrado – Music Director

Cindy Watson graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music with an ARCT in piano pedagogy. She is enthusiastic about choral music and counts it an honour to both lead the choir and accompany the worship services at St. Andrew’s. Cindy takes pride in her work and enjoys being with people in the Cochrane community. In her spare time Cindy enjoys reading, scrapbooking, camping, and spending time with her family and their dog.

Sara Perrin – Family Ministry Coordinator

It has almost been a year for me in the role of Family Ministry Coordinator.  Each month is different and that makes the position very unique.  In the past, I have done a lot of youth and family event planning and program delivery.  This past experience has helped plan exciting and diverse events for youth and families.  I am looking forward to implementing new programs for St. Andrew’s and Cochrane.

   Kristi Hill – Office Administrator

Kristi comes with a background of computer software knowledge and administrative experience. She enjoys working with people and the busyness of the church. Currently she is enhancing her learning with website design, so stay tuned. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys walking her dogs and reading books.
