It’s getting to be that time of year, when the men of St. Andrew’s put on a special evening as a treat to all the women in our lives, not just our Mothers. We call this annual event our Mother’s Day Gala. The men do the grocery shopping, the cooking, the room preparation, the serving, the dishes, the clean-up, and of course the entertainment. Seriously, the servers, all decked out in their black & whites, are at the beck and call of the ladies throughout the evening, doing their best to help provide a wonderful evening for the ladies to enjoy.
And please help us out by contributing great items to the Silent Auction, and then bidding generously on the items. Remember this event is one of our largest fundraisers for St. Andrew’s.
The guys hard at work!
The culinary chefs always do a great job putting together interesting and tasty selections.
And, since St. Andrew’s is blessed with many talented musicians and entertainers, after dessert the men put on an enjoyable round of entertainment, often led performances by Martin Russell on his classical guitar, and including many others, such as our minister Ray on his guitar, accompanied by his sons.
The Back Row Boys from our Choir put in an appearance, with a couple of barbershop ballads. And for an unbelievable grand finale, the men gather on stage to sing, “a cappella”, a selection of barbershop love songs to the ladies. Wow!
Tickets are available through our office, at (403) 932-2585, or firstname.lastname@example.org, or by asking many of our men to line them up for you.
